MY FALL 2020 CAPSULE OVERVIEW

I didn’t realize that creating a full overview of my capsule wardrobe will turn into a full-time job next to the one I already have. But two weeks of work on taking pictures and editing them, I’m sharing my full fall 2020 capsule wardrobe in this post. If you’ve not already, give my last blog post a read to understand the considerations like aesthetics and materials that went into the planning of this capsule wardrobe.

I’ve a total of 54 pieces in my fall 2020 capsule wardrobe. These are a mix of mostly pretty old (but classic!) pieces, a few new items, and also some pre-loved pieces. The number of items might go up slightly if I’m able to find some of the items off my fall and winter shopping list. But over all, the pieces in this post will remain my true staples through this fall and, with some substitutions, this winter as well.

Where the items are still available, I’ve linked them. Otherwise, I tried where I could to link the next best alternative in terms of cut, color, and material.

Because these 54 pieces will serve me for working from home, going into the office, errands in the city, going out with friends and just about all other activities in my life (besides lounging and sleeping), I’ve added a few outfit ideas at the end of this post for inspiration.

I will also be tracking the wear count of every piece in my capsule wardrobe to assess which pieces I gravitate towards most and an estimate of cost per wear of each item. These two metrics help guide my style purchases. You can find my tracker here and use the same basic template for yourself if you wish.
