5 Undeniably Comfy & Chic Work From Home Outfits

We are in the eighth week of working from home in the Netherlands and if last night’s government announcement on lockdown measures is any indication, we will be working from home a long while.

My office has a formal dress code in place. However, understandably, while working from home my team dresses quite casually. There is no pressure whatsoever about wearing blazers or collared shirts in video calls. Naturally, I gravitate most towards wearing wide-leg pants and structured t-shirts and blouses. They are comfortable but also put together.

I selected a mix of old, new, and pre-loved pieces to create a work from home capsule wardrobe with comfortable but cute pieces. Because all the pieces go with each other, I do not have to put in thought changing out of pjs in the morning even if I sleep in a little. Also getting dressed in the morning lifts my spirits and also makes me ten times more productive, which further boosts my spirits. So creating this capsule has been worth it!

This post is not about the capsule exactly though. I want to share with you some of the most worn pieces and outfits from my work from home capsule in the last eight weeks of lockdown, so here we go.

Look 1

This pair of linen pants with an elasticated waist are hands down the star of my capsule. They fit true to size, cinch at the waist and have enough room around the hips to fit comfortably on pear-shaped bodies.

I bought them in all three colors available (black, khaki and beige) and have not stopped wearing them, especially the khaki and beige pairs that are perfect for spring.

The crochet blouse is five years old and I get so much use out of it because of how versatile it is.

If my pants are not going to have an elasticated waist then they better be wide-legged! I have owned these culottes and striped sweater for years and I continue to love wearing them.

This pair of culottes is quite similar in looks and fabric composition to the one I own. A striped sweater is a classic and while the one I am wearing is no longer available, you can easily find many options!

Same pants as look one with a top which again I have owned for years. I love the lightness in this beige and gray look.

I wish I could wake up everyday with a motivation high, but I do not. Leggings with a cozy sweater are reserved for those sorta gloomy work from home days.

I have owned these leggings for at least a year. They are affordable and super comfortable for lounging around the house, cleaning and cooking, and running errands. I love that they are soft, sit high-waisted, and wash very well.

The sweater is a pre-loved purchase from sometime back. I found a very similar looking pink cashmere knit, which is also currently on sale. The touch of pink gives me major spring vibes!

I figured to add a few cheery pieces to my work from home capsule. This top with statement leaves (so trendy these days!) adds that fun factor. I got this in both black and white and have religiously worn either colors on Fridays to celebrate the weekend!
