In my pre-minimalism life, I had never considered wearing a jumpsuit to work. I just didn’t think jumpsuits make an appropriate office outfit. But now that I have pledged to keep a minimally curated wardrobe, I actively contemplate about making each piece of clothing work in several different ways.
This black French Connection jumpsuit is a fairly new piece in my wardrobe. It is made of a flowy, crepe material that’s comfortable to wear. The fit is slightly oversized, but I actually like that because most bodycon jumpsuits fit my pear-shaped figure rather oddly.
For the sake of this x3 series, I am showing three outfits featuring the jumpsuit, but it’s so versatile that I will definitely wear it with other items in my wardrobe. Unfortunately, this jumpsuit is no longer available but I have linked a similar option here and here. I will also try to find and link items similar to those featured in the outfits below.
Outfit I
For the first outfit, I have cinched in the waist with an old leather belt from Massimo Dutti. I kept the jewelry and accessories subtle. The blush heels and the silver mesh strap watch complement an all black outfit nicely. This was the first time I took this hand bag on a ride–it’s brand new. I got it for myself in June as a birthday present, but I was waitlisted and only received it a few days back. Expect a review in a few weeks!
Outfit II
In this look, the blazer and pumps add a nice touch of business to an otherwise slouchy jumpsuit. This blazer is wool and has a beautiful texture. I got it at Zara two years ago and since have gotten a ton of use out of it. Camel is one of my favorite autumnal colors and it goes so beautifully with black. I love how the whole outfit comes together with my trusty tan leather Daniel Wellington watch.
Outfit III
For the last and, arguably, my favorite out of all three outfits, I paired a white button-down underneath the jumpsuit. There is something so chic with the shirt buttoned up all the way, the bow on the shoulder, silver mesh strap watch, and those stunning boss heels from Reiss. To add some color, I dabbed on a little bit of Mac’s Ruby Woo on my lips and voila!
That was all for today, lovelies. Hope you all have a great weekend. x

Great outfits! I also have a black jumpsuit and I find it suits almost every occasion depending on how you dress it up or down 😉
